Silverdale, WA
I was at the Red Lobster in Silverdale, before Christmas, when a man and his wife came in and sat at a booth nearby. He told the waitress to ask the man with the family at the other end of the room if he was in the military. (It is a Navy town, so it isn’t that unusual of a question.) When the waitress returned and said yes, the gentleman explained that he wanted to pick up their check anonymously, and she was to encourage them to get dessert, too.
I was eavesdropping, so I didn’t say anything, but my daughter asked me why I was crying. Finally, I told the couple how wonderful I thought they were. He told me they live in Port Angeles, and they try to do this whenever they go out. The family was extremely thankful, and obviously blessed.
